The comments below each song describe where the music will occur in the novel.
Rebecca sings this Hebrew chant after she gives birth to Amara in the Tambopata River in the Peruvian Amazon jungle.
Mayan healer K'ay Chel teaches the young Kamey how to sing the Tzolk'in Counting Chant. Kamey adds some Hebrew.
Many years later Amara listens to a recording of this as she sails down the Río Dulce in Guatemala.
Trying to escape her pursuer, Amara risks her life by jumping
into a cenote, an underground natural pool in the Mexican
Yucatán where this song gives her a mystical miraculous
strength. (Produced and arranged by David Michael Tardy).
Amara sings inspired by the magic of the Mayan Temple of
Chichen Itzá on the Spring Equinox. She opens her heart and
voice to channel transformational love in the mysterious language
of the Holy Spirit. (Produced and arranged by David Michael Tardy)
On the Mayan Day of Hun Kat (One Seed), the celebrants sing the
Tzolk'in Counting Chant honoring Oxlajuj (Thirteen), the number
of completion. They are joined at Chichen Itzá by an international
crowd of thousands who have come to join the Mayans in
celebrating the final Thirteenth Heaven and the end of a Mayan
Calendar Cycle.
